These fittings keep working loose why? Do I need metal? The inlet and outlet fittings work loose in less than a week. They have plenty of Teflon tape and even added plumbers dope

Is it OK to insulate a jet pump? It's in a well pit with a lid, prob 5 foot deep. We have fiber insulation around the tank and pool noodle type stuff for the lines. But can I insulate the pump? Maybe build a foam board box around it? The walls are concrete and floor is dirt Pump is on cinder block.
